Dr Brent Higgins is a veterinary orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in treating lameness, cruciate rupture, other joint conditions, fractures, growth deformities and spinal disease in dogs and cats.
After a BVSc at Massey University, and time in general practice, Brent completed specialist residency training at the University of Liverpool, UK. He became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2011.
Brent is passionate about helping vets deliver clinical excellence without learning curves. He is a director and co-founder at OssAbility, a veterinary medical device company that helps vets treat orthopaedic disease. He is an educator and co-founder at Practical CPD which teaches surgical skills to vets. He also co-founded Zero Pain Philosophy, an online resource to help vets manage pain.
